The mission of the British Orthodox Church within the Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate is to share the good news of the Orthodox Faith with British people in their own culture.

We have launched the British Orthodox Fellowship, so that our many friends and enquirers can join a community supported by the life of the British Orthodox Church.

Our aim is to help British people discover that they can be authentically and canonically Orthodox while remaining genuinely British. But we also warmly welcome all who wish to worship and learn with us, whatever their culture.

Monos, Lecture on Eastern Monasticism (10/10/2009) - Father Peter Farrington travelled to Leicester and presented a lecture on Eastern Monasticism to the participants of a distance learning course provided by Monos.

Anglican - Oriental Orthodox Forum (07/10/2009) - HE Metropolitan Seraphim, and HG Bishop Angaelos, together with Father Peter Farrington attended the meeting of the AOOF with Bishop Geoffrey Rowell of the Anglican Church.

Council of Oriental Orthodox Churches (01/09/2009) - The September meeting was held at St Mark's Coptic Orthodox Church, Kensington.

Report on latest Ordinations. (24/02/2009) On Sunday 22nd February at the beautiful little church of St Felix at Babingley on the Sandringham estate Deacon Peter Farrington was ordained to the sacred order of the priesthood at the hands of His Eminence Abba Seraphim.

Ordination to the Priesthood. (13/02/2009) On Sunday 22nd February, Abba Seraphim will ordain Deacon Peter Farrington to the priesthood of the Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate at the Church of St Felix, Babingley. He will serve with Father Michael Robson in the community of St Alban and St Athanasius at Chatham in Kent.

The feast of the Apostles has been celebrated around the country in the communities of the British Orthodox Church.

This feast comes at the end of the Fast of the Apostles during which we seek to prepare ourselves to participate in the mission of the Apostles, sharing the Gospel with those around us.
